I have quite a bit of catching up to do as far as welcoming new friends is concerned. In the past couple of weeks wonderful new people have been popping up everywhere!

I have said this many times now, and it is just as true as I sit here writing this as it ever was - all my friends are important to me; my LJ friends are important and so are the people I have met and bonded with. It is rare for me to have a friend here on LJ who I knew before I set up my journal.

I wanted to post some pictures of Southland, a wild and seemingly remote region of New Zealand. The coast is incredible and colours are so vibrant. It was in this region that I had some of my best wildlife encounters, which included the most frightening - but that's another story.
